On July 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), together with relevant organizations, officially inaugurated the iTech Expo 2025 International Technology Fair and Exhibition under the theme “New Tech Empower iFuture.”

The three-day event (from July 9 to 11) promises to foster an innovative technology ecosystem with high applicability, thereby promoting cooperation and business opportunities in partnership with Ho Chi Minh City authorities and enterprises on their digital transformation journey in the new era.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Lâm Nguyễn Hải Long, Chairman of HCA, stated: “iTech Expo 2025 has improved in quality compared to last year. The event brings together more than 120 domestic and international technology companies, showcasing core technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, as well as interactive technologies like robots, drones, and holoboxes. It also features specialized application solutions in education, agriculture, finance, and more. With an exhibition space of nearly 4,000 square meters, the event is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors and more than 1,000 business-matching interactions.”

Mr. Lâm Nguyễn Hải Long also noted that iTech Expo 2025 is not only a technology exhibition space but also a forum for sharing in-depth knowledge. The event gathers more than 50 experts from global technology corporations such as Dell Technologies, AWS, NVIDIA, Intel, Logitech, and Ennoconn, along with leading Vietnamese enterprises such as VNPT, VIETTEL, CMC Telecom, and DigiEx. Seven thematic seminars organized by HCA and its partners focus on practical challenges across various fields including education, agriculture, tourism, SMEs, and cybersecurity.

“Another highlight of this year’s iTech Expo is the launch of a business-matching management application. This digital platform enables businesses, visitors, and partners to easily track appointments, manage contact information, and continue connecting and promoting collaboration even after the event concludes. This reflects the organizers’ commitment to continuously enhancing user experience and building an open trade ecosystem that helps buyers and sellers establish trust and long-term cooperation. Notably, businesses are also allowed to sell products directly at their booths, creating additional convenience for commercial activities,” Mr. Long added.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lâm Đình Thắng, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, emphasized the importance of the event in the current context. “As Ho Chi Minh City is implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, which identifies the increasingly pivotal role of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in enhancing competitiveness, socio-economic development, and building a foundation for a sustainable future, iTech Expo 2025—with the theme ‘New Tech Empower iFuture’—is a vivid testament to the city’s pioneering, connective, and innovative spirit,” Mr. Lâm Đình Thắng stated.

Mr. Thắng also stressed that Ho Chi Minh City is honored and proactive in promoting its leading role, creating favorable conditions, and mobilizing resources to build a strong innovation-driven technology ecosystem. He also expressed high appreciation for the organizers and the technology business community for joining hands to create a widely impactful, practical, and highly effective event like iTech Expo 2025.

TAt this year’s exhibition, the organizers, together with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, established a dedicated digital transformation consulting zone for 168 wards and communes across the city as well as neighboring provinces. This space enables local authorities to directly meet, discuss, and explore technology solutions across five key areas: public administration, local economy, urban management & environment, education & healthcare, and agriculture & rural development. This initiative helps enhance management effectiveness, supports ward and commune authorities in selecting suitable technology solutions to better serve citizens and businesses, and accelerates comprehensive digital transformation at the local level.
