At the seminar, experts from various fields of technology and agriculture presented papers on topics such as technological devices and priority policies in the journey of agricultural digital transformation; the power of AI agents (intelligent software systems designed to automate and independently perform specific tasks) in modern agriculture. The experts affirmed that technology plays a key role in shaping a sustainable and efficient agricultural sector. New technologies are not only tools that support production but also strategic resources that help increase productivity, optimize costs, ensure product traceability, and open up opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products to access global markets.

Earlier, in his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park, emphasized that the seminar serves as an opportunity for technology experts and agricultural engineers to share experiences and introduce solutions for implementing digital transformation in agriculture. These include the application of artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data. Through the seminar, the Management Board hopes to work with experts to develop practical innovations, feasible models, and long-term strategies in the digital era, contributing to the establishment of a digital, green, and sustainable agriculture for both Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, Mr. Hien introduced the “Innovation and Startup Competition in High-Tech Agriculture 2025.” This year’s competition focuses on technological solutions that improve productivity, quality, and agricultural product traceability, thereby building a modern, smart, and sustainable agricultural sector. Under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the competition will be organized on a national scale, targeting six socio-economic regions, and is expected to become an annual program through 2030.
