INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY EXPOSITION iTECH EXPO – Ho Chi Minh City 2024, themed New Tech for the New Era is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), Vietbuild Construction International Exhibition Organization Corporation, Alta Media, and partners, with the patronage of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The event will officially take place in 3 days, from July 10 to 12, 2024, at the Vietnam International Exhibition and Convention Center SKY EXPO (Quang Trung Software City, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City)

iTECH EXPO 2024: New Tech for the New Era is a prestigious, professional playground with international scale, held for the first time in Vietnam. The event sees the participation and collaboration of over 10 countries such as China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, Russia, and more.

At iTECH EXPO 2024, attendees will experience many exciting and practical activities throughout the 3-day event, including:

• iTECH Expo – Technology Exhibition: Gathering nearly 300 booths from major technology corporations and companies in Vietnam and internationally such as Intel, ASUS, Zoho, QTSC, VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone, CMC Telecom, Galaxy Holdings, etc. The exhibition will also feature organizations and associations such as the Danang Department of Information and Communications, High-tech Business Incubator (SHTPic), Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft & Wood Industry Association (HAWA), Vietnam Office Machine Association (VOMA), Southern Information Security Association (VNISA South Branch), promising to bring leading-edge technologies that elevate future connections.

• iTECH Forum – Specialized Seminars: This will be one of the highlights that differentiate iTECH EXPO from other technology exhibitions in Vietnam. With 8 seminar sessions taking place over 3 days, featuring nearly 50 top industry experts and speakers from domestic and international technology corporations and companies. Notably, the Opening Ceremony & Plenary Session of iTECH EXPO 2024 at 9:00 AM on July 10, 2024, will feature 02 keynote speakers: Dr. Nguyen Cong Ai, CEO of KPMG Vietnam, and Dr. Thieu Phuong Nam, CEO of Qualcomm Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Discussing the topic “Global technology trends: Opportunities & Challenges for Vietnam” Mr. Nguyen Cong Ai, General Director, KPMG Vietnam, shared: “The world is currently undergoing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, along with the development of technology trends such as Green Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Cloud Computing. Recent technological advancements have enabled the strong development of high-tech sectors in Vietnam, especially in digital transformation, renewable energy, green manufacturing, and semiconductor manufacturing. In addition, new technology trends are also strongly impacting the global supply chain, leading to multinational companies gradually moving their production bases from China to other countries, including Vietnam, making Vietnam a prominent FDI investment destination. Despite many opportunities, Vietnam still faces challenges related to the lack of high-quality human resources, outdated infrastructure, and inadequate policy frameworks. To keep up with global trends, the Vietnamese government has introduced policies to encourage investment in technology and innovation, focusing on developing high-quality human resources and improving the quality of IT infrastructure. These are important foundations for the strong development of high-tech application industries in the future, creating momentum for the overall development of the economy and the country”.

Discussing the topic “New Technologies Shaping the Sustainable Era,” Mr. Thieu Phuong Nam, Country Director of Qualcomm Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, emphasized: “The synergistic power of 5G, AI, and IoT is revolutionizing smart computing, enabling ubiquitous connectivity and smart automation across various fields. This combination creates a new wave of smart applications, from autonomous vehicles and industrial automation to smart cities and personalized healthcare. The result is a smart, wide-ranging network that supports innovative applications and services, promoting the vision of a truly connected smart world”.
